Supply of laptops

A centralized laptop is provided as an alternative to a standard fixed workstation or to support teleworking, smart working, or event use.

It is subject to all policies governing centralized workstations.

Customer service handles administration, hardware management, and the remote distribution of updates and security patche.

The user is not the administrator of the laptop.  To utilize all functionalities (remote assistance, unattended software installation, disk structure management, etc.), the laptop must be connected to the network. How to request the service

The Head of structure[?] must fill up the online request form indicating:

  • reason for the request
  • user data
  • software list

The laptop will be delivered complete with a power input unit and, if envisaged, a case and mouse.

When the laptop is delivered, the recipient must sign the ASICT Material Delivery form.

Users are reminded that they are responsible for IT material supplied by the University (Politecnico di Milano Code of Conduct).
