Supply of laptops
The service sees to the supply of laptops as alternative to the fixed centrally managed workstation or as support for use in teleworking, smart working or events.
Recipients
Staff belonging to central administration.
How to request the service
The Head of structure[?] must fill up the online request form indicating:
- reason for the request
- user data
- software list
The laptop will be delivered complete with a power input unit and, if envisaged, a case and mouse.
When the laptop is delivered, the recipient must sign the ASICT Material Delivery form.
Users are reminded that they are responsible for IT material supplied by the University (Politecnico di Milano Code of Conduct).
ASICT centralized laptop
The user is not the administrator of the laptop, customer service takes care of administration, management of the hardware and remote distribution of updates and security patches.
A centralized laptop is usually supplied as an alternative to a standard fixed workstation and is subject to all the policies governing centralized workstations.
In order to make use of all the functionalities (remote assistance, installation of software without supervision, structure disk etc.) the laptop must be connected to the network.
