Connect to the network
To benefit from permanent, encrypted access without frequent authentication, set up the permanent connection.
It takes 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the device, and you will have:
- two Wi-Fi networks (“polimi-protected” and “eduroam”)
- the wired network through the advanced Wired connection.

Eduroam and IDEM federations
The Politecnico is a member of the Eduroam and IDEM federations. This allows:
- Polimi users to utilize the networks provided by the federated entities using their Polimi credentials or configuration.
- External users from federated entities to browse the university network.
Temporary connection
If you access the network sporadically or if you are a guest of the university, use the temporary connection.
