Client FTPS: FileZilla

Configuration

If the program is not available on your PC: download it from http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/ and install.

To configure the client:

  • 1.

    Open FileZilla and Select Site manager

  • 2.

    Enter the fields required for the connection..

  • 3.

    Replace the “server_name” with the name of the web_server on which you intend to publish your contents (for example, www.mysite.polimi.it)

  • 4.

    Enter 2121 in the Port field

  • 5.

    Set the service type to “FTP over TLS (explicit encryption)”

  • 6.

    Replace the “user_name” field with the user_name provided with the service activation

  • 7.

    Open the Advanced menu..

  • 8.

    Select “Utilizza modalità passiva” (Use passive mode)

  • 9.

    Save and close. Start the connection and accept the certificate. The connection will be established.
