Before starting: Polimi credentials

Make sure your Polimi credentials (person code and password) are in order. check the status of your password, or set a new one, via the authentication widget available in the Online Services.

Before starting: USB-Ethernet card

Do you use a USB-Ethernet card? To also enable wired access to the network, the card must be inserted and installed before starting the configuration.

STEP 1/3

Cat Eduroam installer dowload

Connect to https://cat.eduroam.org
Click: “Click here to download your eduroam installer”.
Select Politecnico di Milano as Organization.
If not present search for it.
As User group select: polimi-TTLS e scarica l’installer.

STEP 2/3

Run the Eduroam installer

Open and run the Eduroam installer.
At the confirmation message, click “Install” to begin.

The profile contains the configuration of two wi-fi networks (“eduroam” and “polimi-protected”) and advanced wired access.

Three screens will be shown for entering Polimi credentials: two for the wi-fi networks and one for the wired network.
Enter in each window:

user name: your Person Code followed by @polimi.it (eg. 1234567(at)polimi.it)
password: the one relating to the person code

Finalizing

When prompted, enter your computer credentials and press OK.
Wait for the confirmation screen.

To know

The password linked to the Person Code expires periodically and must be updated.
Upon expiration, the connection will stop working until you enter your credentials again.

You can check the status of your password by connecting to the Online Services and consulting the authentication widget.
