Configuration with Polimi credentials – iPhone and iPad

Before you begin

Please complete these checks before starting setup.

Make sure you have your Polimi credentials (personal code and password) in order. You can check your password status or set a new one using the authentication widget available in Online Services.

If you had previously configured the Polimi networks, we recommend that you “forget” them before proceeding with a new configuration.

We recommend using Safari for setup. Other browsers are not fully supported.

Download the Eduroam Cat installer

  1. Go to https://cat.eduroam.org
  2. Click “Click here to download your eduroam installer”.
  3. Select Politecnico di Milano as your affiliation organization. If it’s not in the initial list, use the search box.
  4. Select the user group, click to open the list and choose polimi-TTLS and download the installer by clicking the button with your Operating System.
  5. Download the installer.
    A pop-up will appear saying “Profile downloaded / If you want to install the profile, check it in system settings.”

Run the eduroam installer

  1. Open System Settings > General > VPN & Device Management
  2. under “Downloaded Profile”, click on “eduroam”
  3. At the confirmation message, press “Install” to begin.

You will be asked to enter your Polimi credentials twice, first for the “eduroam” network and then for the “polimi-protected” network:

  • Username : your Personal Code followed by @polimi (e.g. 1234567(at)polimi.it)
  • password : the one relating to the Person Code

Networks are now accessible.

You have finished the setup

  • The password associated with your Personal Code expires periodically and must be updated. Once it expires, the connection will stop working until you re-enter your credentials.

    You can check your password status by connecting to the Online Services and consulting the authentication box.
